TAPPING INTO THE POWER OF YOUR BREATH

Most don’t realize the amazing benefits of tapping into your breath. It is normally taken for granted. If you use focusing on it as a tool to be able to center yourself, it can benefit your life tremendously.
This exercise is pretty simple. When you find yourself needing to slow down take a deep breath in through your nose.
Now instead of drawing your diaphragm in allow your belly to raise or move away from your spine. On the exhale, push the air out through your mouth until all of it gone.
Take another breath in hold for 3 seconds. Repeat this for a total of three times before returning to your normal breathing. One important trick is to incorporate a small smile during this practice.
This will allow your face muscles to relax and allow you to breathe more fully. Once you incorporate this into you daily practice, you will be surprised to see how you feel less distracted and more able to focus on the tasks you have before you.
